First Boss

For the past weeks, I’ve been focus heavily on drawing the first boss and its custom stage.To let you know in advance, every boss/secret boss have their own custom stage, that require some mechanic to beat them or helping you beat the boss.


This include : pulling some lever, push a box, or pump a generator, alongside the good ole’ shooting
I think that’s a good idea to makes the boss stage feels more special, not only player need to determine its behavior, but environmental impact also emphasize the world building more.

 

The first boss is encountered at the ruin of Church of Origin, it give cool thematic design, and retro game will not complete without a boss fight with a church background music.
